Race against the clock…

This week have been kind of crazy… (as well.)
In 24 h I managed to teach
BODYBALANCE (61) at SATS Fridhemsplan
HotMOJO at Spårvagnshallarna
BODYJAM® at SATS Storo Oslo, Norway
HotMOJO – again at Spåris…

I do love my job – and especially the variety. Grateful – indeed.
I honestly don’t know what I would do if I had a “real” job, at an office for example from 9-5.
Probably fall asleep – all.the.time..
Like I did today at the hairdresser.. as soon as I have a moment where I’m forced to sit still.. Zzzzz!

Anyhow, I did this BODYJAM® try-out-class in Norway this wednesday, so the instructors could come and try the class and see if they would like to attend the training and start teaching the program.

Here are a few of the awesome instructors that took the class;

Thanks Oslo (or Aslow – according to the flight attendant at SAS) for having me, see you in two weeks for the initial training module.

Sunday Sum Up!

I know I already linked to some of the blog reports from monday’s AfHo®-promo event, but here’s a summarize of all the posts (that I know of) if you’d like to read what the bloggers that were there thought about the class…

Like I also mentioned, Aftonbladet Wellness were there – and they will do an article about it. Stay tuned for that.

So, some of the stuff I’ve managed to squeeze in this past week are:

A dance workshop
A promo event
An AfHo®instructors training
18 classes

I’m happy and tired (only positive tiredness though) and I’ll take this sunday eve to chill and charge up for the upcoming week that – among other things – includes a guest class in Oslo and a BEATZ event.

xoxo

AfHo®-premiere-training!

Yesterday I held the first official instructor’s training in my own concept; AfHo® (afro house) here in Stockholm.

It was a quite small group – 7 ppl – which means that Sweden now have their first 7 licensed AfHo®-instructors. The AfHo®pioneers.
Awesome groove, great energy and an amazing spirit.
THANK YOU for joining me on this adventure.

The training is a one day training, and the concepts aims foremost to already trained instructors.
So, it’s not an initial training – but a pure concept-training.

Some pics to summarize the lovely day…

First training is worth some royally celebrations…

Like sparkles and cake!

Stay tuned on my website and official facebook page for upcoming trainings.

Next saturday, the 27th of april it’s time for BEATZ again.  To sign up – send an email to beatz@robertsorensen.com

Filming 2nd time around… :)

2008 I was invited to Les Mills International and New Zealand to present on the BODYJAM®47-dvd.
It was an intense – yet awesome – week and I learned a lot about the program and the whole filming-process… and when I went back home with all my new experiences I felt like “I wanna do it again”

Today I found out that I will do it again – in september.
BODYJAM®67 – I think (if I’m not totally confused) which I take as a great sign.

Besides Gandalf the guru – my co-presenters will be two of my awesome nordic fellow trainers.
WE ARE GONNA HAVE A BLAST!!!!

Right after the BODYJAM® 47 filming…

AfHo® promo event

Yesterday I had my AfHo® promo event.

It was mainly journalists and bloggers – a long with some other awesome-vibe-people that came for a sneak peek.
Aftonbladet Wellness brought a photographer – and they’ll do an article about it.
Stay tuned here and I’ll let you know when it’s happening.

Sara that’s a really strong, fierce and cool female came and danced with me.
Read her blog post here.

An always happy-vibe-spreading Annica came as well, and here’s her report.

Annica, me and Rob.

Co-worker from both SATS and HoS – awesome Maria.
We first met way back at the finish NIKE BLAST – where we both have presented several times.
She came and tried a bit of AfHo® before her own classes.

Many thanks to House of Shapes that let me run riot in studio 1.
And – thank you to the wonderful Åsa who helped me out with the goodie bags, among other things. She also took some pics ( I hardly took any, obviously) so more photos are coming up.
She’s a real pro.

This is an old one…

This week I’m working a lot with the AfHo®-instructors training that take place saturday! Can’t wait.

SATS inspirational workshop!

About a month ago I was in Gbg to do an inspirational dance workshop for SATS instructors.. and this weekend it was time to do the same in Stockholm.
I did have pretty many people registered on my list that I got from the hq – but once we were there not even half showed up.
How ever – the people that did came filled up the studio very well.

Awesome co-workers!  ♥

I did a pretty long warm up – with some different across the floor-drills to different songs/styles. I promised the group the playlist – so I’ll post it here if anyone else also would like to know what music I used.

BODYJAM® at SATS!

I’ve been a BODYJAM® trainer since we launched the program in SWE 2006. Actually – I was the very first trainer for Les Mills Nordic.

Since I’ve been teaching classes at SATS I haven’t taught BODYJAM on weekly basis. Well, for a short time of period when they had the class at one of the centers, in a transition from former WorldClass to SATS. But that was like one semester only.

I’ve worked so much with the program though so it haven’t really bothered me… but still – every time it’s time for a QW it would have been nice to have a class on schedule, instead of having to find the time for a special class (to practice)

Luxury problems – but still…

I have nagged, and nagged on the people at SATS HQ – my bosses – the people in charge… until I was fed up of it. The nagging.

Then – all of a sudden, I get an email from my boss at Les Mills…who want to book me for three initial trainings exclusively for SATS instructors.
Cause SATS will launch the program from the fall-13. How about that?!
Awesome I’d say!

So I’ll be doing BODYJAM® initial trainings for SATS;

May 3rd-5th, Stockholm
May 10th-12th, Oslo Norway
May 31st-June 2nd, Göteborg

BODYBALANCE® wknd!

I had a really great work-weekend this weekend.
16 new BODYBALANCE® instructors impressed and progressed, and really put them selves out there to learn and grow as much as possible during these three days.

A really sweet group that helped and pushed each other – which makes my job so much easier.

Prep-time before the last presentation on sunday.

The entire crew ♥
