When I grow up…

…I wanna be famous I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies
When I grow up, I wanna see the world, Drive nice cars, I wanna have boobies
When I grow up, be on TV, People know me, be on magazines
When I grow up, fresh and clean, Number one chick when I step out on the scene

Yes, sure!
Can’t say it any better than PCD, but more than that I really really would like a washing machine. That would be amazing!
Like yesterday – me and my significant other taught four classes each.
That’s eight sets of training outfits.
And only mon-wed this week I’ve been teaching 10 classes myself. A whole lot of clothes… And a weekend of either a training, convention or workshop also demands several outfits.

Also, if you know me – you know I like to wear different colours… and since I like to keep the colours in its right shade – I like to wash red, pink and orange separate.
Blue and green separate. Grey and black. White. Yellow. Purple. And so on… So I can go on and on for a day… or forever!

But you know – if that’s my problem for the day – I’m HAPPY to deal with it.
But – when I grow up, I wanna have a washing machine of my own!!

Reminder…

…to all of you who lives in Linköping, or happens to be in the near…
Next saturday october 29th it’s time to dance.
With me and Petra!
I’ll be teaching two master classes; Commercial Hiphop and Girly Grove. So come join us. You need to sign up in advance, and you do that by emailing petra.kardell@gmail.com

Have a great weekend and I hope to see you next saturday.

Jazzzzz handz!

My 11 classes at SATS are done for the week and I’m happy after a FUN thursday at Odenplan.

A few of my students have requested a musical jazz routine –  since it’s not really my favourite genre I don’t do pure musical that often.
When I was a kid I LOVED musicals.. and now I can’t stand most of them – especially not american musicals in a swedish version with a poor translation. That makes me wanna crawl out of my skin!

But today I went all in and did a cheesy broadway musical routine.
It was a lot of fun – and the crowd danced like true Broadway stars! And it was fast.

One more class this week – and then it’s weekend. And this weekend it actually is weekend even for me.

Monday monday monday…

…in a grey and rainy Stockholm! How about that?

The weekend was great.
It was an intense training since I had almost exactly 48 hours from start to stop. A little bit less than usual.
And the instructors from Friskhuset did awesome. They worked hard and they challenged themselves for sure. And it paid off! The progress was huge. Well done!

This was a in-house training only for Friskhuset – so I had six instructors from Mo i Rana where we were, and then three ladies from Friskhuset Bodö, where I also have been. For their convention two years ago. It’s even more up north.

Here’s the crew of the weekend

A funny note: one of the chicas that got to present track 10, Turbulence, is working as a flight attendant at the airline that’s flying the tiny propeller planes all over the norwegian mountains – that I was going with the last bit.
And she did took us for a wild ride on the dance floor!

She was on the same flight as me on the way back – which made the trip much less scary, and now I know a lot more about the planes.
I kind of like all the private aircraft-lessons I’ve gotten on my trips lately… it’s like therapy, sort of.

Time to charge up for some BODYBALANCE™ at noon, and then tonight’s classes at St Eriksbron.
Happy Monday y’all!

A friday in flight mode!

I woke up at 4.40! Yes – that’s right, 04.40 am.
And then my trip looked like this:
Stockholm – Oslo (Norway)
Oslo – Trondheim
Trondheim – Mo i Rana, which is upnorth in Norway.

And the last flight was that kind of flight I really do not appreciate.
A tiny propeller plane and just a few seats.
But I’m alive (which I’m so happy and grateful for) and I got here safe and sound.

I’m holding a BODYJAM® initial training module, for Friskhuset.
And since we started pretty late this afternoon we kept it going pretty late as well. So when we’re done for the night I figured that it was less than 12 hours before we’d be back in the studio for the first presentation.

A bit less time than usual, but the best thing is to just make the best and most out of the situation, right?!

The funniest thing is that one of the instructors in the training is a former class buddy to me, from Danscenter.
She had to drop out of school earlier than the rest of the class though, beacuse of back problems.
And instead she studied to become a psycologist – which she now is working as, here in Mo i Rana of all the places.
Besides that she’s teaching classes at Friskhuset, and now she’s about to become a BODYJAM® instructor as well.
Just Awesome!

Besides that – I’ve had a pretty rough week. Not really anything in particular, but several minor things that’s been taking a lot of energy… so I’m pretty washed up right now.
SO – I’m going to sleep now – while the school class that stays at the same hotel will continue partying I guess.

I don’t mind actually. I prefere some noice rather than total silence. 🙂

Looking forward to day II.

Serious recovery!

A week with 7 classes, instead of my 12 regulars.
I’m not at my very best at the moment.
Damn this cold – or flu – or what it is.
I don’t like sub away the classes – but yesterday when I taught I felt my heart beating crazy fast and crazy hard, and it felt not good at all,  so I had to find a sub for my jazz lesson tonight. Unfortunatley! 🙁

So, this weekend will be all about recovery – cause I don’t have the time to no not be well.
Not so much training with other words.

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend?
If you’re well,  and in Stockholm, I think you should walk by Sportlife Östermalm on sunday for a class or two, and donate some cash to benefit for fighting breast cancer.
It’s the network bloggar om träning that are doing its own version of a pink ribbon event.
Email soffan.rhodin@hotmail.com for further info and details.

Enjoy your weekend!
XOXO

Beatz!

Do you find the Nike Blast beeing way to far away in the future?
I know what you can do to make the time go faster while you’re waiting…
At least for one of the days: november 12th
You can come dancing with me and Rob.

Saturday november 12th, here in Stockholm.
Just because it’s fun!!
Hope to see you!

Boring…

After a september month with 52 regular classes – and in addition to that –  a couple of guest classes, a master class at Super Saturday, a BODYJAM® initial training module and lots and lots of choreographing and rehearsal I got sick.. despite my serious efforts trying to fight it..

And the sicko-state of mind brings me into this never ending, everlasting issue, that I’ve also been bloging about before…

The fact that my three days in bed have been much more stressful than it is when I’m working.
Cause I’ve been – literally – chasing subs to cover my classes.
THANK YOU lovely rockstars that have helped me out.
Yesterday was redicolous! I just couldn’t find anyone that was available to sub.

And it sure didn’t help when the gym refuses to answer their phones.
What’s up with that? 2011… soon to be 2012! Get a handsfree if you leave the front desk god damn it!

In those situations I feel like just don’t wanna give a crap, and simply don’t show up. But just let them deal with it.
But I’d never have the consciense to do that – and most people are the same.

So yesterday, I taught three classes with the cough from hell (you know, that makes you sound like a skanky big time smoker) and then luckily I have a very nice husband that actually went o u t s i d e the city toll to sub a class, so that instructor (which is just awesome and super sweet) could go and cover the fourth class I was supposed to teach yesterday. At the gym that no longer uses their phones…

Insane!

Anyhow.. this is the same at ALL THE GYMS I’ve been working at – ever, so no need to comment anything else. Just sayin’ 😮

Wednesday peeps – I do have a sub for tonight’s street; Malin is covering for me at Fridhemsplan!
And I HOPE to be back on track tomorrow for the jazz!

So – if you have read this far… Well done!
And, I wish you a sparkling germ free beautiful day!

Dance workshop!

October 29th I’m having a dance workshop in Linköping.
So, if you’re around – and love to dance – come join me.
