BEATZ is back…

We’ve had a few months break with the BEATZ events – but now we’re back, with the 8th edition of our beloved event.

SATURDAY april 27th is the date to save. It will be me, Rob, familiar faces, new faces – and a lot of dancing.

Stay tuned for more info on our facebook page  – but mark that day in your calendar if you’re up for some BEATZ in your body.

From the last time , right before x-mas. (Thomas is missing in the pic though)

AfHo® instructors training!

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to educate yourself to become an AfHo® instructor.
It’s my very own concept – and class – that is a real cardio blast at the same time as you get to do some serious ass-shaking, move your feet, groove it out and express yourself in liberating upperbody movements that will make any ‘office postures’ go away in no time.

For further info about the class – go to this post.

And check out the event on Facebook.

Since this is a one day training – it’s mainly aiming to you that already is an instructor.

Maybe you teach zumba or afro – and are looking to expand your class-reportiore… or maybe you teach something completely different and are up for a challenge and variety for your own fun.

April 20th is the date for the first open training in Stockholm.
11.00 – 18.00, it’s gonna be a day full of dance, sweat, practice and great fun.
Hope to see you!

If you want to try the class, I’m teaching AfHo® every thursday at HoS, 11.45-12.30 – email me for a guest pass.

Dance & Training trip to the big 

Do not miss our dance & training trip to NYC.

OCTOBER 7th – 14th

It’s the best season to visit New York City – and with this trip you’ll get an amazing (and generous) opportunity to train – as much as you like. A boost of inspiration and energy that will last for a really long time.
Bring back that very special NYC-vibe as a motivation needed on a rainy day.

We’ve posted most of the info as an event on facebook – check it out.

If you want to sign up – or would like to receive some recommendations of price worthy places to stay – email me.

Open House & Exclusive Guest Class!

These days my main focus is definitly on my three classes that I’m gonna present at the NIKE BLAST. So it will be – all the way to the next weekend.
Practice, prepare and polish.

Yet – I’ll do a quick appearance at House of Shapes this upcoming weekend, for their open house.
Saturday I’ll teach two classes; AfHo® and jazz.
In the jazz class we’ll do my Diamond-choreo (by Rihanna) so come join me.
It’s for free!

NEXT friday – the day before NIKE BLAST is about to explode – my awesome friend Kristin will borrow my jazz-time-slot at HoS and guest teach.
FRIDAY feb 1st, 17.30-19.00

She is amazing in every way; as a dancer, choreographer, teacher… and person!
She lives in NYC – and teaches on regular basis at Peridance, Broadway Dance Centre and Crunch. This is the third year in a row that she’s presenting at the NIKE BLAST. Last year she team taught the Femme Fatale-class on the big main stage with me and Åsa E.
Do not miss this exclusive opportunity to take a studio lesson for this talented stong woman.
If you’re a member at HoS – there’s no extra charge. For non members to drop in it’s 200 sek.
Very well spent money I’d say.

Kristin & Siri (as a puppy) at last year’s BLAST.

Derek rocks…

The past few months I’ve been working with Lina Andersson – to prep the NIKE BLAST, and I’ve especially helped her to suggest presenters, book them – and some other admin stuff.

One of the US dance presenters I suggested to her for this year, is Derek Mitchell.
He’s teaching at Broadway Dance Centre and Steps – and at Crunch.

He’s an amazing dancer, choreographer and teacher.
I like teachers that actually teach – and are good at it (and not ‘only’ are awesome dancers) and I think he is.

I took his street jazz class today and we did Ke$ha’s Die Young (that I actually also have a choreo too)
Here you can check his version out.

Derek teaches at the NIKE BLAST, saturday 12.00 contemporary move and sunday 14.00 street move.

AfHo® – din nya grej?

Since this post is aiming to the swedish GF-market – it will be in SWE. (sorry about that international readers)

AfHo® Tropical, AfHo® Underground etc.

GODKÄND = licensierad.

Make room for some new experiences…with me!

So, I passed the annual summary of the year-post this year.
Just did a quiet one for me only.
Instead I would like to enhance a few of the events that are already booked and planned for 2013 – at least for the first quarterly of the year – and share it with you guys.
Maybe we’ll see each other at any of these awesome occasions. Hope so, for sure.

I’m sure you haven’t missed it – how could you;
NIKE BLAST feb 2nd-3rd in the Globe (Globen)
In this very moment it’s 1896 people that have signed up, and since it’s a month left I’m sure there will be even a few more added to that.
This is my 11th year as a presenter at this awesome event that kicks off the training year every year with a boom.
I’ll present three classes:
Sassy Jazz sunday morning, 8.30 am in the dance studio.
BODYBALANCE® 60 along with my fellow Les Mills trainers, Anna & Kristin. Saturday 1.45 pm on the big main stage.
SH’JAM also at the big stage, saturday 5 pm (last class of the day) together with the nordic BODYJAM® and SH’BAM® trainers: Åsa E, Dorre, Sarah and Kimmo.

From the NIKE BLAST-12.

Exciting news, from w. 2 (january 7th) I’ll teach my own AfHo® class/concept at House of Shapes for 4 weeks.

Wednesday’s 11.45-12.45, starting january 9th and ending jan 30th.
How ever, if it goes well, you might find this concept as a regular class at HoS in the future.
So, spread the word and bring your friends.
Email me if you wanna try it out as my guest.
If you want to read more about this class – there will be a AfHo® blog post tomorrow, friday.
For, during 2013 – I’ll also hold my first instructors trainings in AfHo®.

The clip is from my AfHo®class at the NIKE BLAST-12.

I love to collaborate with awesome people. It’s fun when you have someone to work with, and often really great ideas are born when you get to brief and juggle with other like-minded people.
So therefore – me and my homie Jonas are gonna do two kick ass training trips during february and march 2o13.
I’ll be mostly involved in the second one that goes to New York – of natural reasons – but I will host both of them along with him.
Feb. 15th – 24th Miami
March 20th – 31st New York City

There will be scheduled classes with us every day – exclusively for the group that travels, and in addition to that there will be special event classes with local rockstar-instructors and we’re also working on to get a good deal with a local studio. So you get the feel of how it is to hang out with the natives.
Besides that, there are even more activities you can choose to add on if you like that.  Or you can just take our classes and then do what ever you would like to do for the rest of the time. You chose for yourself.
If you have thought about going on a training trip but would like to get a bit more action that “just” the training and the hotel – this is it.  Or if you’ve been dreaming of taking classes in NYC, and pay with your sweat – but haven’t had anyone to go with… This is it!

♥ NYC!

Last year I did these inspirational workshops at SATS; Choreo Boost, that was aimed to the instructors that teaches dance classes and wanted to experiment a bit with the choreo-making.
As an extension of that I’ll hold a new workshop this year in Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö – an updated version with a slightly different twist on it.
So, SATS-co workers – looking forward to dance with you again.

Awesome Choreo Boosters Sthlm 2012.

Last but not least – during the first quarterly of 2013 I’ll hold an initial training module in BODYJAM®, in Göteborg, february 8th-10th.

If you’ve been thinking about becoming an instructor in BODYJAM® this is a great opportunity. Early in the semester – with a great release to be trained in.
Questions about that – email Lena@lesmills.net

Of course there will be plenty of other stuff going on as well – all my weekly classes for example, but I figured there events above is a fun way to start the year, and I’d love for you to come join me. In real life – or here.

Hope to see you!

WIN my CD!

So, yesterday I got this email from Swedebeat… which means that the physical CD is available in stock – ready to be ordered.

I’m really happy with (and proud of) the result – and I’m gonna play it real loud in my class tonight.

You can buy it as an actual CD – or you can simply download it.

OR – you can win one, right here – right now. I’m raffling of a cd here at the blog.
All you need to do to join, is to:
like my public page on facebook (if you’re not doing that already)
then, make a comment below – where you tell me your phattest hiphop-moment/memory of 2012.

Peace out!

Two [very different] Events…

One of the things (among many other) I truly appreciate with my job is the variety. Of work, environment, people, energy and obviously – the actual task.

The two upcoming weekends I’ve got two different events booked.
First up is the Spa and the city-event at Selma Spa this weekend.  It’s starting off this afternoon already – but I’m heading there tonight after my class at House of Shapes.

I’ll be teaching three classes at the event, BODYBALANCE®59 tomorrow morning, AfHo® tomorrow afternoon and then a very special Spa and the City class sunday noon.
How about that?
The vibe for the weekend is suppose to be kind of luxury-glamour-big-city-energy meets the calm and stillness of the countryside.
I’ll be representing the big city vibe, foremost.
And beside all the fabulous classes and the spa & relax there will be opportunities to take private coaching sessions, private singing lessons… and of course: cocktails.
Tonight it’s a classic cocktail party and tomorrow there will be a white party.

(And if I’m allowed to be a bit negative just for a sec, not only seem white partys very 2000 – but what’s the deal with throwing one in NOVEMBER… Is it the clothes or the skin tone that counts? And, since I’m not an actual guest – I will refuse to wear white, ha!)

Anywho – I think it’s gonna be an awesome weekend.

NEXT sunday – I’ll take part in a completely different event, organized by Bloggar om träning – and the energetic Åsa governing the entire thing.
It’s a charity event where all the money goes to benefit the Ung Cancer.
It’s a whole bunch of classes – and each class costs 50 sek (or more)

I’ll swoop in directly from the BODYBALANCE® QW, to present – yes, that’s right – yet another BODYBALANCE®.
Of course I’ll do the new release, 59!
Which by the way, is a LOVELY release.
For me – much more instant love than the previous release.

I think you should join me.
Come and workout with other people that share your passion – celebrate life – and take the opportunity to spend your money, energy and time on a great cause. Make that day count. Make that workout count.
My class starts 14.00.

Moves & Motivation!

I got this pic yesterday – which is from the local news paper in Växjö. (How about that? 🙂 )

It will be in stores (in Växjö) all november – promoting the new club Moves & Motivation – who seems to be a real one of a kind facility. Can’t wait to see it IRL.
I’ll be teaching a BODYBALANCE® quarterly there sunday december 9th – and while I’m there, I’ll be teaching the new BODYJAM® as a master class as well, thereof the pic in the  paper.

So, if you’re around december 9th – I – just like always – hope to see you there.
